Website launched

Our new website has been launched today, August 7th 2008.  I finally decided to brace the bull by its horns.  I overcame my website-building phobia and, with help from some of my Seattle University students, I can now stand and be counted as having conquered my fears.

The idea of building a website had occurred to me a long way back.  I have searched high and low but had come across Web builders who are willing to charge heavy amounts in order to help me with a site.  Their prices ranged from $700 on the low side to $3600 on the high side.

It is really true what our elders say:"Look no farther; what you need might be closer to you that you think".  I was getting fed up with running around looking for help from high places not knowing the very children I teach are a wealth of information.  My special gratitude to Nuriyah Nghiem and Huy Nguyen all of the Upward Bound program.  These special students were with me every step of the way, assisting with making critical changes, downloading and uploading pictures and performing other assignments as necessary.  I guess I could unashamedly call them my mini-teachers.
